10 Easy and Delicious Salmon Recipes for Dinner

Salmon is perhaps the most popular fish for dinner. It’s versatile, healthy, and delicious.

Salmon is filled with omega-3, protein, and healthy minerals your body needs for building strong muscles, bones & nerves.

The great thing about salmon recipes is that they can be served with most main meals. Salmon fits nicely in a family-friendly dinner, romantic dinner, or even a dinner with friends. Whether you prefer a simple salmon fish rub with lemon and dill or are more of a sushi lover, these recipes are sure to please.

1. Air Fryer Salmon

This recipe is to follow and remarkably delicious; it can also be baked with an oven if you don’t have an air fryer.


  • 1.1lb salmon fillets
  • Spice rub
  • Two garlic cloves
  • Thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Brown sugar
  • 4 tsp of paprika
  • Olive oil


  • Grate your garlic cloves. Please take out your salmon fillets, put them on your workspace, lightly pour olive oil on each fillet, and rub some grated garlic.
  • Mix your thyme, brown sugar, paprika, salt, and black pepper and sprinkle on the fillets (not sparingly), and use your hand to gently Pat down the seasoning, so it sticks on the fish skin. Transfer your fillets to your pan covered in foil paper and put it in your air fryer preheated to 400°F, let it bake for 10 – 12 minutes, and it is done and ready to be served.

2. Salmon Patties

  • 1lb salmon fillets
  • One big bell pepper (red or green)
  • Two garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp of paprika
  • One medium-sized onion
  • Two big eggs
  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • A cup of bread crumbs


  • Pat dry your salmon with paper towels and put it on your foil-covered pan, pour some oil on it, add black pepper, salt, paprika, and grated ginger and bake for 20 minutes. Take it out and shred it with forks into tiny pieces. Fry your chopped onions and bell pepper (after taking out the seeds) till it’s golden (don’t forget to stir).
  • Put your shredded salmon in a bowl and add your sauteed pepper, onion, ½ tsp of black pepper, beaten eggs, Worcestershire sauce, grated garlic, mayo, and bread crumbs. Mix it up properly, take the mix in your hands, and mold to round shapes of 3in with ½ inch thickness. Melt your butter and fry the patties in them till it feels heavy (remember to turn over).

3. Creamy Stuffed Cajun Salmon

  • Six salmon fillets
  • 3 tsp of paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Four garlic cloves
  • 1½ tbsp of Cajun seasoning
  • 3 oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 oz cream cheese
  • 1½ tbsp Olive oil
  • One lime
  • Fresh parsley
  • 1½ tbsp of butter


  • Create pockets at the side of the fillets with a knife but don’t cut through to the other side, and sprinkle some pepper, salt, and paprika on the salmon. Mix your cheddar cheese, garlic, cream cheese, pepper, cajun seasoning, and parsley, and put it in the pockets (don’t let it fill up so it doesn’t spill out).
  • Heat olive oil and butter and cook the fillets for about 10 minutes, and it’s ready to be served. (Don’t forget to turn it over when it’s frying)

4. Salmon Burger

  • 1 lb salmon fillet
  • 1 tbsp of Dijon mustard
  • Honey
  • Lemon juice
  • 2tbsp of breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • Black pepper and salt to taste
  • Fresh dill
  • One medium-sized onion


  • Cut your salmon into pieces after dabbing it dry. Divide ¾ of the salmon and put in a bowl, then add some bread crumbs, a little honey, fresh dill, mustard, pepper, onion, and some lemon juice; blend the other ¼ of salmon into a paste and add it in too.
  • Mix everything until it holds well, then molds it into a flat, round lump of about ½ thickness. Melt some butter and fry at low heat for about 6 minutes. Afterward, you can put it between your burger and any dressing you choose.

5. Baked Salmon

  • Make use of the same recipe for air fryer salmon. Preheat your oven to 375°F for a friendly and moist baked salmon. Bake for 13 – 15 minutes or until an instant thermometer reading of about 125°F – 130°F. Then eat it with some rice and potatoes once it’s out and has cooled.

6. Maple Mustard Salmon Baked in a Foil


  • 1 lb salmon
  • 1½ tbsp of mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp of garlic
  • ¾ tbsp of brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp of butter
  • ¼ tsp of garlic
  • Maple syrup


  • Put your salmon on a foil with its skin facing down. Mix your mustard, brown sugar, paprika, garlic, salt, and pepper and spread on the fish. Pour in your maple syrup and cover the foil over the fish without letting it touch the body. Bake it in the oven for 10 – 15 minutes and then in the broiler for 5 minutes, and your yummy salmon is ready to be served.

7. Salmon and Peas With Pasta


  • 500g of fettuccine
  • 300g of frozen peas
  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • Snipped chives
  • 300g of crème fraîche
  • Two salmon fillets
  • Black pepper
  • Two shallots
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil


  • Cook your pasta following the cooking instructions on the pack. Chop salmon into smaller pieces. Melt a tbsp of butter and chopped shallots, and sauté for a couple of minutes to let it soften. Add your stock cube, salmon, peas, and cremè fraîche in 50ml of water and cook for 5 minutes before seasoning with black pepper and chives. Pour in your pasta and mix it with the veggies set for eating.

8. Salmon Egg Fried Rice


  • 3 cups of basmati rice
  • Three salmon fillets
  • 1 cup of frozen peas
  • 3 tbsp of olive oil
  • 2 tbsp of soy sauce
  • Two large onions
  • Three eggs
  • 2 tbsp of honey
  • 1 tsp of brown sugar


  • Cook rice according to the instructions given. Rub a mix of honey and soy sauce on the fillets, put it on a foil-covered pan, and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C fans. Add some oil and fry the onion and pepper for 5 minutes, then add the garlic and fry for a minute. Add your beaten eggs and stir, then add your cooked rice at medium heat. Let it cool a little before adding your salmon, peas, onions, and the honey and sauce mix. Stir, and it’s ready.

9. Glazed Sesame Salmon


  • Honey
  • Salt and pepper
  • Sesame Oil
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Four salmon fillets
  • Chilli pepper
  • Orange juice
  • Soy sauce
  • Garlic and ginger


  • Dab your fish dry and put some sesame oil on, then season with salt, black pepper, or any other seasoning you want. Use 2 tbsp of olive oil at medium heat and fry the salmon; turn over and fry back and front. After 3 minutes, pour your glaze all over the fish and allow it to fry for 3 minutes, and it’s ready to be served.

10. Grilled Salmon


  • 4 6 oz salmon fillets
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper


  • Preheat your grill to 450°F, oil the fish properly, and season it with salt and black pepper; cook for about 5 – 7 minutes with the skin side down, flip it over and cook for 3-4 minutes or more. Remove the cooked salmon and transfer it to a plate to cool.

Wrap your salmon in an aluminum foil or plastic wrap and put it in a fridge. It’s best eaten immediately. Storing it might change the taste. Keep it for 2-3 days or dispose of it.
