The Top 10 Best TV Shows on Hulu

Between Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Disney+, and HBO Max, there are more streaming services than ever to sort through for your entertainment needs. And if all of these options seem overwhelming? We’re here to help! Just take a look at our suggestions below.

1. The Handmaid’s Tale

Based on the novel by Margaret Atwood, this dystopian drama series is set in a near-future where women have been stripped of their rights and assigned roles within society. The show follows Offred (Elizabeth Moss), one of these handmaids who has been forced into sexual servitude for her master Fred Waterford (Joseph Fiennes) to bear children for him and his wife Serena Joy (Yvonne Strahovski). The series also stars Alexis Bledel as Ofglen, Samira Wiley as Moira, and Madeline Brewer as Janine.

2. Veronica Mars

There are plenty of TV shows about strong, intelligent women—and Veronica Mars is one of the best. The TV show follows an intelligent and self-assured teenager who has just moved back to her hometown of Neptune, California. When her ex-boyfriend Logan gets involved in a murder mystery, Veronica decides to look into it herself and becomes a private investigator. Veronica Mars is not only an excellent example of the modern detective drama but also features some great female characters and is a fantastic role model for young girls looking for strong female role models on TV shows today.

3. M*A*S*H

M*A*S*H is a TV show set during the Korean War and follows a group of doctors and nurses in a mobile army hospital.

The series was created by Larry Gelbart and Gene Reynolds, who also served as executive producers along with Burt Metcalfe. The show aired on CBS from 1972 to 1983, with 251 episodes produced over eleven seasons. It won multiple Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series between 1973 and 1975 (two awards each year), making it the second most honored comedy in Emmy history after The Cosby Show (five awards).

4. Bob’s Burgers

Bob's Burgers

Bob’s Burgers, a show about a family that owns a hamburger restaurant and the hijinks that ensue when they try to make it work, is one of Hulu’s best shows. It follows Bob Belcher, his wife Linda, their children Tina and Gene, and their youngest daughter Louise as they strive to keep the family business afloat. Each episode follows this basic formula: we meet our characters and learn how they deal with their daily lives. Then something happens that shakes things up for them—whether it’s Louise having trouble in school or Bob realizing he needs to make some sort of change at the burger joint—and we see how they all respond.

Through its clever sense of humor (the show has won several awards), likable characters (including Kuchi Kopi), and creative animation style (which includes stop-motion animation), Bob’s Burgers makes us laugh every week without fail. If you haven’t checked it out yet, I recommend giving this series a shot!

5. Keeping Up With The Kardashians

No list of the best TV shows on Hulu would be complete without Keeping Up With The Kardashians, a reality show about the famous Kardashian family.

First airing in 2007 as Kourtney and Kim Take New York, the series follows the lives of Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian; Rob Kardashian; Kendall Jenner; Kylie Jenner and Kris Jenner. Caitlyn (formerly Bruce) has also appeared on several episodes to share his experiences coming out as transgender.

The show is widely considered one of The CW’s most popular series ever produced and continues to air new episodes today on E!.

6. Supernatural

Supernatural

Supernatural is a show about two brothers who hunt demons, ghosts, and other supernatural beings. It’s been on for 14 seasons, making it one of the longest-running shows on TV (and one of the most successful). Anyone who likes horror, action, and drama should watch Supernatural.

7. Seinfeld

Seinfeld

Seinfeld is a show about nothing. It’s been around for decades and is still relevant today. The characters are great, and the storylines are funny. Seinfeld was one of the first shows to do this style of comedy where nothing happens in each episode, but they still make it watchable because there is a high level of entertainment value in their conversations. If you like comedy shows, then this should be on your list!

8. The Golden Girls

The Golden Girls

The Golden Girls is a sitcom from 1985 to 1992 about four older women living together in Miami. The show stars Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan, and Estelle Getty. The show was nominated for many awards (including 8 Emmys) and is widely considered one of the best shows ever made.

9. The Mindy Project

The Mindy Project is set in New York and follows the life of a doctor, Mindy Lahiri, who is in her late twenties. Her boyfriend is also a doctor. Does her best friend have a boyfriend whose father runs a business or something? I don’t know. It’s not essential.

This show had some issues during its first few seasons, but it has since become one of my favorite series on Hulu right now (not to mention one of my favorite shows overall). The third season is exceedingly great; it builds up the characters and gives them more depth than they’d had before while still maintaining all the humor that made me love this show!

10. Samurai Jack

Samurai Jack

Samurai Jack is a cartoon about a samurai trapped in another world. He has to fight demons and his past to try and get back home, but there is no way for him to do that until he finds out what happened to him.

Samurai Jack isn’t just for kids—it’s also for adults! It’s got great action, funny sometimes (and other severe times), and it takes you on an adventure with its characters. Plus, it’s not very expensive or lengthy at all!

Hulu is Pretty Awesome

Hulu is fantastic, and it’s not just because they have a lot of great TV shows. Hulu has a lot of excellent movies. They have original content created by the people who work there, and even more than that—they have documentaries! And finally: if you’re looking for something for your kids to watch (or even if you’re not), Hulu has an incredible selection of kid-friendly programming for all ages.

So whether you’re into crime dramas or comedies, sci-fi or fantasy, or anything else under the sun, there’s no excuse not to give Hulu a chance.

As you can see, Hulu is an incredible streaming service with plenty to offer. From reality shows like Keeping Up With The Kardashians to classic sitcoms like Seinfeld and The Golden Girls–there’s something for everyone! You might even be surprised by what they have in store next month when they release their new show “M*A*S*H.” So if you want to watch some great television without cable, head over there today! Happy streaming!
