2. Death on the Nile (2022)

This film stars Peter Ustinov as a famous detective hired by a wealthy woman (Margaret Leighton) to investigate her son’s death. Other suspects include Peter Finch’s husband and Katherine Ross’ sister-in-law. The movie was based on Agatha Christie’s novel of the same name and continues her tradition of gripping cinematic adaptations.

The film is set in Acapulco, Mexico, where a wealthy man named Bill is vacationing with loved ones at a resort until he receives a phone call from New York City about his dying father. His father’s death causes him to return home immediately, but he instead chooses to stay in Mexico for another day due to losing his passport. However, this decision causes conflict with his wife and family, who are waiting back home with no idea why he hasn’t returned yet.
Sundown has received mostly positive reviews from critics who have praised its performances from the cast, including Casey Affleck, as well as its cinematography which captures scenes beautifully throughout its runtime
4. Deep Water (2022)
If you’ve ever wanted to see Ben Affleck act opposite in a movie, this is your opportunity.
Deep Water is a drama directed by Adrian Lyne and released in 2022. The movie stars Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas. It is about a married couple who play twisted psychosexual mind games with each other, and then people around them start turning up dead.

The movie stars Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Djimon Hounsou, and Matthew Goode, among others. The film was released in 2021 and has generally received positive reviews from critics.
The King’s Man has been praised for its thrilling storyline but criticized for its lack of depth in some areas. Nevertheless, it is worth watching if you are looking for an action-packed movie with plenty of twists!
7. Nightmare Alley (2021)
Nightmare Alley is a classic noir film starring Bradley Cooper as Tod Hackett, a carnival worker in the 1930s and 1940s who learns to grift the rich and famous from other circus folks.
This movie, directed by Guillermo del Toro, stars Cate Blanchett as Cora Hoover Hooper, whose husband has just died. She left with only his debts and decided to get revenge on those he owed money to by going into business with Tod.
Based on the novel of the same name by William Lindsay Gresham, this film follows Tod as he meets Cora at a party where she’s seeking revenge against her late husband’s creditors—and they decide they might as well team up while they’re both there anyway. They start small but quickly find themselves embroiled in more extensive schemes involving fraudulence, murder, and mayhem!
8. Pig (2021)
Pig is a dark comedy about a 1960s pig farmer forced to return to the city after his prized pig is stolen. The movie stars Nicolas Cage as the farmer, Alex Wolff as his son, and Michael Sarnoski as the thief. If you’re looking for something with a similar premise to John Wick but with more heart and craziness, this one is for you!
IIt’srated R because it contains graphic violence and language that some viewers may find offensive.
9. Shadow in the Cloud (2020)
This movie is a great example of how Hulu can become your best friend. Not only does it have a ton of new movies added each month, but they also have a wide variety of genres that you may not be able to find on other streaming services. The story follows two scientists working on their project called Shadow in the Cloud, which involves taking an airplane into space and injecting it with this special serum that makes humans invisible from radar. The experiment goes well until things start going wrong, and they crash land somewhere off course along with another crew member named Sam (Nick Robinson). They are forced to survive in hostile territory while trying to avoid being killed by nature and by themselves, as one crew member has gone crazy due to side effects from the serum used during testing.
The movie starts slow, but once things start happening, you won’t be able to stop watching until it’s over!
10. Changing the Game (2019)
If you’re a sports fan or just love movies about strong women and how they can change the world, then this movie is for you.
Pat Summit was a legendary coach of the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers basketball team—but her story didn’t start there. As a teenager, she overcame racial adversity and gender bias to defy expectations and become one of the most successful coaches in college athletics history. She earned nine national championships as head coach of UUT’s women’s program, which she led from 1974 until her retirement in 2012.
This film explores how Pat Summit dealt with racism as an athlete herself (she was one of only two black players on her high school team) and how she overcame sexism by proving that women can be just as challenging as men (her teams won more games than any other NCAA Division I program during her thirty-seven-year tenure), and how she inspired students who might not have otherwise been interested in sports because they saw it as something only white boys played.
11. Hellboy (2019)
Hellboy is a reboot of the Hellboy franchise and is based on the comic book series Hellboy by Mike Mignola. The movie starred David Harbour as Hellboy and was directed by Neil Marshall.
In this version of the story, which takes place in the present-day, Hellboy works for an organization called Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (BPRD), which studies paranormal activity across Earth. HHe’stasked with protecting a young girl from evil forces who are after her because she has immense powers to destroy them all
12. The Biggest Little Farm (2018)
A documentary following the trials and tribulations of a family farm in California, The Biggest Little Farm is about more than just your average garden-variety vegetables. Instead, it’s about sustainable farming—preserving the land so it can be used for future generations. This means no pesticides or fertilizers are used, which means the crops are healthier and tastier (with fewer chemicals). IIt’salso good for you to know that this isn’t a small operation: they grow several tons of produce each year—enough to feed hundreds of people with fresh food all season long!
If you’re interested in watching this documentary but don’t have time to do so right now (or if Hulu doesn’t have it), we recommend checking out these other great documentaries on Hulu:
13. Booksmart (2019)
Booksmart is a modern comedy that follows two best friends, Molly and Amy (Beanie Feldstein and Kaitlyn Dever), as they navigate the last week of high school. They want to make their senior year memorable by finally getting with boys, making it onto the cheerleading squad, and partying at prom. However, when Amy starts falling for one of her teachers and Molly’s crush is revealed to be her ex-boyfriend’s brother, their plans quickly fall apart.
If you liked Legally Blonde or Mean Girls, this movie is perfect! Like those movies, Booksmart will make you laugh out loud at the character’s witty quips while also ensuring that there are plenty of heartfelt moments given to each character so that we care about them in the end.
14. Minding the Gap (2018)
If you’re looking for a documentary with a fantastic soundtrack, Minding the Gap is for you. It follows three young men who skateboard in Chicago and their struggles growing up as they try to find their place in the world. The film shows how these guys’ lives intersect with each other and how one another sanctions and decisions influence them.
Minding the Gap is a compelling movie that will make you reflect on your own life as a young person today. If you want something lighthearted or funny, this isn’t it; it’s more complicated than that. But if you want something that will leave a lasting impression and give some insight into what it was like to be a kid when skateboarding became popular, this movie should be on your list!
15. Palm Springs (2020)
Like a fine wine, Palm Springs has aged beautifully. The film, which premiered in the summer of 2019 and stars Andy Samberg, Cristin Milioti, J.K. Simmons, Camila Mendes, and June Squibb among many others was directed by Max Barbakow—the same director that brought us Blockers (2019) and The Spy Who Dumped Me (2020). This romantic comedy is about two wedding guests who find themselves trapped in an infinite time loop until they come to terms with their feelings for each other.
This movie is full of heartwarming moments that’ll make you laugh loud—and it’s not just me who thinks it’s great! It currently has a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes! If you like romantic comedies, this is one for your list of must-sees for 2020 or any other period!
If you don’t have Hulu, it is worth looking into. You can sign up for a free trial or just see what they have available on their website. You may find some new favorites (and might even get caught up in a binge-watch).
